Mrs Capewell came to visit Y4 with her new baby. This was part of their RE topic and were eager to ask her lots of questions. Thank you Mrs Capewell for coming in to see us today.
Spring Bulbs Project
Year 3 are taking part in the Edina Trust Spring Bulbs Project. The children were really excited and engaged planting up the bulbs today and placing them in the woodland area, ready to take part in the project.
Y3 Outdoor Elements
Y3 went to Outdoor Elements today; a bit soggy but everybody enjoyed themselves.
Y4 Outdoor Elements
Y4 Went to Outdoor Elements and took part in lots of Outdoor Adventurous Activities as part of their PE Curriculum. They had lots of fun!

Lower kS2 Blackburn Museum Ancient Egyptians
Lower Key Stage 2 have been learning about Ancient civilisations, focusing on Ancient Egyptians, this term. They have visited Blackburn museum. They were able to look at and hold artefacts to help them learn more.
Christmas Art in Year 4
We have been working with a local artist and St Silas Church to create a Christmas art event. AS we walk to church for our CHristmas service the children will follow stars. Some children will carry stars and they will be displayed in a light box above the nativity scene.
Year 4 science Sounds
The children explored how sound waves can travel through different mediums.
Ingleborough Caves
Year 3/Year 4 had a brilliant trip to Ingleborough caves. They have been studying rocks and soils. They also saw a moorland habitat.

Year 3 /Year 4 Outdoor Elements
Year 3/Year 4 enjoyed an activity day at Outdoor Elements. They enjoyed archery, orienteering and climbing. They also developed their teamwork skills. Being outside and being active was also brilliant for their mental health and wellbeing.
